Parrots can eat apples, but it is not considered an especially good food for them, and they should not be allowed to eat the apple seeds. There are many species of parrots, varying in size, but they are generally all perch birds with strong beaks and flexible tongues. They can not only crack open the shells of nuts to extract the flesh inside, but also possess the ability to mimic sounds, with some species even able to learn human speech.
