Why Have the Seedlings All Died?

Why Have the Seedlings All Died?

If the seedlings have died, it may be because the grower pulled the seedlings up too high, causing the roots to separate from the soil they originally came into contact with. This makes it difficult for the seedlings to quickly adapt to the new environment and prevents them from absorbing nutrients from the soil. Over time, this leads to the death of the seedlings. It is also possible that the roots were broken when the seedlings were pulled, which directly resulted in their death. Another possibility is that the environment was too dry, causing the seedlings to die.

I. Why Have the Seedlings All Died?

  1. The seedlings may have died because the grower pulled the seedlings up too high, causing the roots to become too separated from the original soil. This prevents the roots from quickly adapting to the new environment, leading to the death of the seedlings.
  2. It is also possible that the roots were broken when the seedlings were pulled, which would directly cause the seedlings to die.
  3. Of course, it may also be because the environmental conditions were not ideal, and the area was too dry. This would prevent the seedlings from absorbing enough nutrients and water, leading to their death.

II. How to Ensure Healthy Seedling Growth

  1. Fertilization: Before sowing, we can apply some fermented organic fertilizer to the soil, which helps the nutrients to be more easily absorbed by the seedlings. Always keep an eye on the leaves of the seedlings. If growth slows down, supplement with some foliar fertilizer or inorganic fertilizers.
  2. Water: Water is crucial for the growth of the seedlings. The water needs of the seedlings vary during different growth stages. When planting, as long as the soil moisture content is maintained between 50% and 65%, the seedlings will grow healthily.
  3. Light: Light is also essential for the growth of seedlings. Although we can increase light exposure by adjusting planting density, the lighting conditions can still change. Therefore, it is best to ensure that the entire field is exposed to sunlight.
